We frequently get requests for business cards seen in various movies. Here are a few, and we can add to this if you have seen others you'd like to emulate! Please remember that if you like the style but not the colors or layout, we can usually make any of the changes you require. Just let me know!

THE SOCIAL NETWORK CARD

Inspired by the movie about Facebook's beginnings, a set of these business cards would make a great gift for anyone starting up their own company. We can change any of the wording, and even the colors (though any nonstandard inks, or using more than 1 color will incur additional costs — email me for a quote).

The front features raised ink (shown here in reflex blue, but other colors will also look great) and the back is in flat ink with reversed text. If you can supply your own logo, that can be used, If not we will use the generic font shown here.

OCEAN'S 11

This understated-but-elegant calling card was handed out by Daniel "Danny" Ocean (George Clooney) in the movie "Ocean's Eleven". The border is embossed onto white linen card stock and the name is printed in shiny black raised ink or foil-embossed (in the movie the name is foil-embossed). Very slick. If you choose printing on the back, it will be printed in FLAT ink only.

If you want the border to be printed in ink instead (or if you want to take out the border altogether for a more contemporary look), the price will come down dramatically. See this page for an illustration of the different printing types.

HITCH 1

We have taken this posh business card from Alex Hitchens (Will Smith) in the movie "Hitch". This card uses matte foil for the imprint. Our card stock differs slightly so that the price can be more reasonable. Shown here with a white foil (which when printed looks off-white because foil will tend to look darker when it is on a dark substrate) on Bronze Felt stock (top). Ebony is also available. If you want it to be a standard business-card size without rounded corners the price will come down and it will still look pretty cool. I've had customers also print this in pink foil, which added a nice feminine touch and someone did it on grey felt with black ink which looked sharp. THESE ARE ONLY AVAILABLE 1-SIDED; NO PRINTING ON THE BACK. For whichever style you choose I recommend ordering a sample of the card so you can see what you are getting!

NOW AVAILABLE: a metallic-bronze stock (bottom) even more similar to the one used in the movie! This is a metallic paper so it can look very different in different lighting. Available in FOIL only; one-sided imprint only.

This is the minimum quantity. You can order fewer, but the price is only $1-2 difference, so I don't even bother offering fewer. Shipping will be added. Note that standard stocks (white or other light colors) with ink will reduce the price dramatically. These take 2 weeks plus shipping time and we will not rush them.

HITCH 2

We have another option for those of you who want this style of card but would like to stick within more of a budget or if you need a 2-sided card! These are printed on a white- or light-colored standard cardstock. Available in INK only. (Our metallic stocks are no longer a standard supply, so there would be an additional cost to special-order them).

For the back I chose 'HandScript', plus I slanted it a little more—I wanted one that looked more natural, and I'm also showing how it looks as more than one line of text). We have lots of handwriting fonts from which to choose or you can supply a high-resolution image of your info in your own handwriting.

MEN IN BLACK (MIB)

We love the intriguingly simple card design that Agent K (Tommy Lee Jones) hands to the baffled James Edwards ( later "Agent J" played by Will Smith), in the movie "Men In Black". A 110# ultimate white Strathmore card uses matte black ink on an embossed monogram in the middle of one side of the card. On the other side of the card Kay has scribbled an address—so we though it would be fun to add your contact information in a flat-ink handwriting font. The ink on front/back doesn't have to be black. If you want raised ink on the front instead of embossed ink the price comes down dramatically (I can add the logo on the back in a light shade of black so you can still see it on the reverse; either backwards in keeping with the embossed look, or so it reads correctly). OR if you want it just embossed with no black on the front, the price will be a little lower. Note that we won't print it with the "MiB" as shown here, because that is a copyrighted logo. Even if those are your initials, we would need to change the look.

MEAN GIRLS - KEVIN GNAPOOR

This one just makes us laugh — what a fun statement! Feel free to change the font (we didn't have the exact fonts use in the movie's card, but chose some that kept the mood of the card) and/or any of the wording (not a bad-ass MC or math enthusiast? Maybe you're a bad-ass something else?) An 80# bright white felt finish card is used (that or natural white is used in the movie) and we print with raised black ink. Other standard inks are: Process Blue, Reflex Blue, Red, Burgundy, Green, Brown (looks good on the natural), Grey or Teal. If you want these more for a joke, I can use a more standard cardstock like white, ivory or gray bristol.

AMERICAN PSYCHO

Who has the best business card? You will! In American Psycho, Patrick Bateman and his colleagues compare business cards in a scene full of rivalry and card envy. This card is our version of the best of their designs. We've selected the "tasteful thickness" of a Strathmore Ultimate White Wove (slightly bone colored). And the lettering is something called Silian Rail. Some of the cards have thermography-raised ink; but if you really want to make them sweat, ours are engraved. We also sell card holders similar to the one Bateman uses — see below!

Engraving is generally the most formal printing option. The image is etched into a metal plate (the plate is engraved, not the cards), and the ink held in the etched grooves is applied to the paper with a press. The resulting raised image is comprised entirely of ink sitting on the surface of the paper. The ink applied is opaque, making it possible to print a lighter colored ink on a darker colored paper with this method.

BUSINESS CARD HOLDER

STYLE 9098: Your distinctive card needs a distinctive carrying case. This silver-tone business card holder also makes a distinguished gift. The 3 7/8" x 2 3/8" silver-plated case holds approximately 20 standard size business cards (the thicker, the fewer). Personalize the holder with up to three initials engraved on the front (please specify initials; last name in the middle). The Hitch cards would fit in these holders, but the holders are much wider.

THE BILLBOARD CARD

Do you sell billboard space? Do you specialize in outdoor advertising? Or do you just want your ad plastered all over your own miniature billboard? Here you go!

This card is the same width as a standard business card, but is 1/2" shorter to mimic the shape of a wide billboard. Let us design one for you, or you can spoof one that you've seen driving down Hollywood Boulevard. Printed on white 12-pt C2S Semi-Gloss stock in full color with full bleed. Note that the uplights and background would not necessarily appear on your design.
